For my fourth of july nails I started off with a good blue color.
Then I began to do a gradient using a lighter blue at the tips and then a black at the base. I used a makeup sponge for this process.
I added a layer of holographic glitter to make it look more like a night sky.
Then i took some big glitters and formed them into fireworks (or tried to anyways! :p) I added a couple streaks of silver or gold polish to make the fireworks look a little bit more like actual fireworks.
For my thumb I attempted to make an American flag.
The placing of the glitter can be a very long process but it
usually looks AMAZING. I try not to do nails that involve individually
placing a lot of glitter unless I really want to make a statement :)
(I learned my lesson with the valentine
nails!!)
