Hats Galore.
EARFLAP HATS!!!! My new favorite thing. I have cranked out so many of these bad boys but sadly I don't have pictures of all of them.. This pattern I had to mess around with soooo much to get it the way I wanted it, I am very happy with the results though :)

Scarlett's Hat (project number 6)
Yesterday I decided to take a break from my other projects to do something special for my Scarlett. While we were at the store picking out yarns she told me she wanted me to make her a hat. I asked her to pick out a color, and tried to steer her towards the light greens that would match her coat. She of course, wanting to be her own person although shes still only two, picked out a beautiful orange. The color is the same color of a beret that my grandma has and so I decided I would make a beret for Scarlett :)
After what seemed like hours looking for a childs beret pattern I decided I would just use an adult pattern but do my best to scale it down. I decided upon the pattern offered by the wonderful blog, Creativeyarn. I had to restart it twice and unravel it once but I eventually produced a beautiful little beret for Scarlett. I plopped it on her head and showed her herself in the mirror and she smiled really big at me and said,"I kind of like it a little bit." So after an entire day of hard work, she kind of likes it. I'll settle for that if i can get her to wear it. :)

Number FOUUURRRRR!!!
Now i recently discovered that there is this whole other world to crochet that I never new about. Ithought to myself, "Hey!! blankets, scarves, socks Oh MY!!!" but THEEENNNN i found amigurumi. It's wonderful. I decided to make a couple of hello kitty dolls from the pattern provided by RoboTrish.com (http://robotrish.com/post/644588884/free-amigurumi-hello-kitty-pattern) I customized mine a little bit, but that's what Crochet is all about to me, customization. The one on the right was my first try, I haven't added the suspenders or the eyes yet, but it'll happen soon, i keep getting sidetracked by so many other wonderful patterns. For the one on the left i decided to go a little more girly and add a skirt, it took me a couple tries to figure out, but i did and i feel really proud of myself for that tiny little skirt.
Project number Three.
This one is for my grandma. I wanted to make her something big and beautiful. Have you ever run out of yarn when you only needed enough for one more square? That's happened to me several times with this one.
Project Number Two.
I decided it would be a great idea to crochet presents for Christmas, that way i can personalize it a lot more than anything store bought. My grandma has an orange zig zag crochet afghan that her mother had made
her so she said to me,"Wendie, make one for your dad, he keeps trying
to steal mine."
My First Project.
Ive decided to start this little tiny blog to display my new favorite hobby [or whatever else]!!!! Crochet!!! Yay!!!
This was my first attempt to crochet anything. It Took me a little while to get a hang of and the shape of the blanket is a little wonky but its soft and comfy.
